Key Responsibilities:
Provide respiratory care services across various hospital departments, adapting to specific duty assignments.
Supervise other respiratory care practitioners and provide orientation and in-service education as needed.
Operate independently, making decisions in accordance with approved medical policies and procedures.
Analyze lung capacity and blood samples using advanced equipment.
Implement and evaluate patient care plans, adjusting as necessary based on patient response.
Document and communicate patient conditions effectively.
Respond promptly to emergency codes and provide appropriate respiratory treatment.
Educate patients and families about illnesses and available community resources.
Manage respiratory care supplies and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration.
Qualifications:
Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Care or higher.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care, Inc.
State of West Virginia licensure.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive salary ranging from $59,904.00 to $80,891.00 USD.
